kasebier negatives

There's a trove of original negatives by Gertrude Kasebier at the Library of Congress.  The starting point is here:

You then type in her name (or anyone else for that matter, Ansel Adams, Walker Evans) and up comes a trove. I put some at the large format grou:

but nobody seems interested (too bad for them).

Wide Open Heliar -- macro shot

This is with a 300mm Heliar, shot wide open on 220 Kodak Portra 400VC (6x9).

Depth of focus is about 1/4 inch.

Another Verito shot

This is a tight crop from an 8x10.  Great Swamp, NJ.  You can't step into the field as the Wildlife Service will give you a ticket if you do. I'd like to go there again and take off the front lens (double the lengh). Talk about Pictorialism!

One shot inside, two outside. I'm getting a better hang on how to focus this lens.

Next two are outdoors wierd day - heavy overcast with the sun peeking out occationally.
