Remember "Them!!"
The one about giant ants?
This reminds me of it. Taken with a Chatham Rectilinear wide open -- lots of coma. The day was just turning overcast.

Hi George
Not bad for an overcast day, where was this take???
Take care
One of my two favorite places -- Delaware Water Gap National Recreational Area. The other is Watchung Reservation. Both are in NJ. WR tends to be more cluttered, but at the right time of day you can find treasures. DGNRA usually has better light and more variety. It also has a lot of these blighted trees.
The Chatham is an interesting lens. I had it remounted in an Alphax 4, which means I can open the iris further than the maker originally intended. I don't know what to compare it to. The main reason I like it is because it's small (about 10") and so doesn't break my back carrying it. If I just use the rear element, it gets even wilder.
At f/5.6 on the Alphax, it's kinda like a mini-veritar. I also have a 10" varitar and may try it on similar subjects.

The park and the beach are my first 2 loves.
