Petzval

I got a Petzval awhile back and while cleaning it today found that the elements were not in their correct order. Bound to happen over the past 100 years. Anyway I'm wrapped. My scanner is not good at all but I hope you get the idea. It works wonderfully on the 5x4.mike%20lores.jpg

Thanks for sharing this Steve. Excellent portrait. Love those petzvals. Like the swirling dark background. Wonder who boogered up that petzval?

I don't think it was any of the little green men or their handler -- probably a work experience kid named Edward or Ansel back in the late 20's :)

I was so pleased when I printed the neg as it looked like a Petzval. A friend gave me an old Photography almanac and it has a series of lens diagrams which allowed me to see the actual arrangement of the elements. As it was it was working but "not quite"
