My Bad

I haven't checked in for a while and I see there are some lovely images to look at and read about.  WELL DONE!  It's nice to see Jonathan's idea beginning to take shape.

Here are some images done in a hotel room in Las Vegas with a little no-name petzval and 4X5 speed graphic.

I did these with efke 25 film hoping to get close to the feel of 8X10 tonality with a 4X5 capture.  Comments / questions always appreciated.

oops, I see I've clipped the one that was horizontal. I'll figure out how to fix. Jim

Hey Jim

Click you cursor just AFTER the image as if you're going to type something, then backspace until the image disappears, then click on the 'insert image' icon to redo your image again.

Yes, the site is taking shape, and I'm going to keep doing what I've been doing, which is absolutely nothing, I'm going to stay out of everybodies way and let them have their 'head' and upload whatever they wish, which is resulting in striking diversity of dynamite images.

I've always wanted to start something where everybody could come together and upload these kinds of images, and it's exciting watch all this unfold, please everybody, keep 'em coming, they're dynamite!!!!

Take care
Jonathan

Incidently Jim, the doorknob shot is brilliant in it's smoothness and elegance, my kind of shot.

When I first saw the doorknob shot, what popped into my head at first was a very twisted dream, in which the photograph is taken straight down on an empty teacup in a saucer. The teacup is 'pouring' itself out downward!. Very interesting indeed! Does anyone else see this?

Hallo Jim,
the doorknob is absolutly perfect. Specially the tonality and the out of focus going door handle is wonderful. How did you develope the print? Is that a speciell toning or is the tone from the paper?
All the best from Berlin

Thanks all for the nice words. Stefan, I wish I had time to print these but the grand babies were under foot all weekend. These are just scans from the PyroCatHD negs. I scan as 48 bit color and then de-saturate the natural color of the Pyro negs about 66%. When I do get the chance to print I don't see a very large print necessary. Perhaps just full plate size.
