More normal Verito

Verito on 5x4 @ f8 Foma 200 in FX1. I focussed by stopping way down and focussing to get the sharpest image then opening the studio shutter until the degree of softness is apparent on the GG. What ever that aperture is I adjust the exposure accordingly. The groundglass is always slightly more diffuse than the actual film, not by much though.

You're certainly getting a feel for the lens Steve, I like this composition, and I love the glass. What draws me the most is the reflections in the two bottles, also the way you've draped this material around as a background.

Take care

Looking at this again, you have a very subtle sense of where to put things/arranging a composition when doing a still life. I love the history behind all lifes 'doo-dads', how did U come about the metal container?

Hi Jonathan,

The pot is actually clay glazed pottery. The Verito seems to give it a "greased metal" look.

I think my wife got it from a local craft market.
